Projects! term 1: in term 1 we learned about multiculturlism. we also learned about racism. we had to do a project on a country and learn about all the different culters and the way one country lives differently to another. i did my project on Italy, the way they live and about the italian people. then, all the grade 6's had a diplay where lots of different grades came around to our classrooms and had a look atour projects. we also had a multicultural lunch.
term 2: in term 2 we learnt about the australian government and law. this was a very interesting subject and everyone had leant lots about it. we went to the old melbourne jail or gaol. we had a play which we did in the court room. then, we had a tour around the jail and where all the cells were. we saw where the people got hanged and where they got whipped. our project was mr.t put us unto groups of four and 2 groups had 5 people. one of those people was the leader we had to get people to vote for our leader and who ever had the most votes would be our prime minister. the person who got the most votes was tayah.
term 3: in term 3 we learnt about about the human body. our project for the human body was that we had to choose out of the heart, lungs, kidneys, or intestins. i am doing the heart. we also have to design a model of the organ that we are doing, and we also have to present out project infront of the class with a speech that has to go for around 3 minutes. the score for the project was out of 50. i think i did an okay job but could of done better. i got 42 out of 50.
term 4: in term 4 we are leaning about money and budgeting. for our project, each person in the class has a job. my job is a solicitor. i earn 60,000 dollars each year, and each week i get 1165.85. each week you have to pay taxes, bills and weekly food.
